I have some older resin, which may be on the verge of going bad. I test it out and while I am at it, try several things I have been wondering about. Including using tic tac boxes as a resin mold, and testing out how well paracord embeds. I just used the old coaster mold and gave this a shot, looking for clarity and to test the waters.

The resin is pretty far gone and has a lack of clarity. The mold boxes worked well, but require some tools for demolding, and since they will be shaped into rings, it’s probably OK. The paracord got really hard and saturated, its probably not something I will do again, but I needed to know and this resin was the perfect testing grounds. The pigment experiment hardened as expected, so pigments can disguise the tinting of this resin pretty well.
