My Harbor Freight Scroll saw was good, but it was time to upgrade. Sold the old one on Craig’s list for a reasonable amount, and picked up this replacement. It was more expensive, but since space in my shop is very limited (one half of a garage which has a Fiat parked in it) – the fact that this one has its own stand was a HUGE benefit of this saw.
I picked up the Porter Cable 18 Inch Variable Scroll Saw with Stand at Lowes, and even though this one has some seriously powerful aspects like tool-less blade changes, takes both pinned and pinless blades, a large cutting surface, and work light, you can grab one for
