Casting into the mold we made in the previous video – using EasyCast resin. This is 100 percent successful and this method is the one we will stick with! Its repeatable, has the right shape, and strength, and what looks like the perfect amount of diffusion.

ModShapes is about product design and making things. We started out making bespoke stands for vapes.

There were previous attempts at molds, but it turns out that making a mold of the size and shape that I wanted the final panel to be was the best way. Composimold to the rescue! I was especially pleased to note that the wood grain raised in the molding process, which provided more detail than I expected.

I could do this with silicon but honestly the Composimold gives me the flexibility to repeat the mold process as many times as I like so the price difference there is worth it
